We are in the middle of a cold snap in the northern US, and I can’t help daydreaming about my friend Julie’s creative retreat in Tuscany this June. In my corporate life I loved working alongside perfumers and visual creatives, yet I never really understood my own creativity until I started coaching. When I work with clients, I can feel my brain at work, looking for connections, filling in pieces of the puzzle, grabbing my intuition to help complete a picture. And what I have learned is that it takes conscious work to stay in a place where you feel confident to follow your creative intuition. Today I speak with Julie Baldwin, author of “The Creative Heroine’s Path,” and creator of this June’s Nourish Your Creative Spirit Retreat in Tuscany.
For 26 years, Julie was in the corporate world, much of it as a senior manager. She understands both the structure and the freedom needed to inspire creative and innovative success. And she knows that personal growth is essential for everyone—employer, employee, and entrepreneur—to keep the momentum going. As the corporate culture where she worked began to narrow, Julie decided to follow her path to support others in their creative growth and to express her own creativity. She became a Co-Active® coach and wrote a book about living your creative life. Julie’s book, “The Creative Heroine’s Path,” has helped countless creatives reconnect with their callings and create the best futures they can imagine.
Julie now works with recovering corporate creatives to help them align with their creative genius. She also creates transformational experiences in places such as Italy, to help creatives unleash their brilliance and design the lives they truly want.
